Who are we?
GetHeard is a collective of musicians who meet twice a month to discuss music production techniques, upcoming local concerts and shows, and anything musically related. Given our passion for making music and an understanding that opportunities to get material heard and critiqued in a live context are few and far between, we decided to create GetHeard Sessions. These sessions (and our group) are unique in that we create custom, interactive and engaging event DVDs showcasing the artists music, photos, social information, and musical background live during the event while they are present. This gives fans and musical peers a better way to learn about and meet new artists in person, versus just hearing them randomly and not being able to truly connect with them.
GetHeard has hosted events at Kevin St. James (NYC), Shade Nightclub (Dallas, TX), Sullivan Room (NYC), Solas Bar (NYC) and most recently at Affaire Night Club in November 2012, where fans came to support 23 different artists. GetHeard 006 is currently being planned for Spring 2013 in NYC
